If you are self-referred, live far away, interstate or overseas, please email then no correspondence is required. Sometimes another practitioner such as a Dentist, Psychologist or Physiotherapist may have been treating you for arthritis, tendonitis, muscle pain or jaw joint discomfort. Any information you have will always be useful.
If you are self-referring and live far away, interstate or overseas we would encourage an email to our clinic doctors prior to making an appointment at one of our consulting clinics. email@example.com
Any information, scans or x-rays you can bring regarding your complaint will be useful.
At the consultation (Cost $195 for initial consultation and $150 for review)
Please arrive 10 minutes early so you can complete a medical history form (which asks for personal details such as name, address, contact details, Medicare number, health fund details as well as details of any medical conditions, previous surgeries, illnesses and medications).
The initial consultation will take 30-60 minutes. There will be a history taken of the complaint and an examination. The Proceduralist/General Practitioner will advise whether a second opinion is required from the Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. You may require more scans or investigations and a second review appointment will be made.
Once the diagnosis is made, at either the initial consultation or the review consultation, you will be given an overview of the treatment and costs involved. If you proceed with treatment then further appointments will be made to see the Olympus Physiotherapist, Olympus Psychologist and Olympus Scientist at Olympus Medical Centre Sydney Olympic Park.
These last 3 appointments are not charged but are important as it enables Olympus Stem Cells to measure your disability in an objective and subjective way. We will explain to you the desirability and acceptance by you of being possibly included in a clinical trial to rate and measure the effectiveness of Stem Cell therapy.
Please note that no surgical treatment involving Stem Cells will be undertaken at your initial or review consultation. PRP injections can be undertaken at the second or review consultation and are done at Olympus Medical Centre Sydney Olympic Park.
If you elect to undergo Stem Cell treatment you will need to fill out a Hospital Admission and Consent form (North Shore Specialist Day Hospital) at this time and our administration staff will make the booking for you. A 50% deposit of the cost of treatment is required to secure the booking.
